Description

Judge Dredge is a fictional comic book character, a parody of the character Judge Dredd from the British comic anthology series, 2000AD. In this first fictitious edition of the comic (which doesn’t actually exist) Judge Dredge investigates the dredging of the Port Adelaide River in South Australia and its environmental impacts. The river is a major shipping port and also harbors a resident pod of dolphins with the Adelaide Dolphin Sactuary. The artwork was created while the planning process for the real-world dredging was underway. The dredging ultimately proceeded under license from the South Australian Environmental Protection Agency but without a full Environmental Impact Statement being released for public comment. The dredge spoil from the channel-widening and deepening operation was dumped at sea in Gulf St Vincent.

Each poster print is signed by the artist, Dan Monceaux.

Additional poster sizes (larger or smaller) can be made available upon request.
