Description
Tidal flow is a unique, digitally-designed, machine-cut and hand-set abstract collage by Emma Monceaux. It inspired by the Onkaparinga River in South Australia. The lion’s share of rainfall in the river’s catchment is captured by the Mount Bold reservoir, so the river only flows out to sea during the winter. As such, the “river” actually functions more like an inlet for most of the year, with saltwater reaching two kilometres upstream and flushing with the tide. This collage combines matte and glitter papers and is best displayed near a window where its dynamic changes can be enjoyed with the passing light.
Framed pieces are set behind clear perspex instead of glass to ensure safe delivery.
